Fun in the sun! Paws 'n Play 2013 in Centralia
I have to admit, I really like outdoor festivals. Being outside, meeting new people, connecting with other animal lovers, it makes the chore of setting-up and tearing-down the tent and display all worth it.
This past Sunday we attended Paws 'n Play 2013 at Borst Park in Centralia. It was great weather and we were in the shade amidst a grassy park full of giant trees. We had a great day connecting with other pet people. The more people I meet at these events the more I realize that the people who come out to see us and other vendors really are there for more than one reason. Yes, they love their pet and want to take them out for the day to a beautiful park to meet other pets, but they also want to connect with other animal lovers. This is yet another way our pets benefit us - in the process of bringing them to these events we also meet other people that share our values, our common admiration for our animals. Peanut shows me everyday why he makes my life better and it's fun to see other people share the same sentiment.
Long live pets!
Wait, I may have just created myself a new slogan. Stay tuned.
I didn't have a chance to take any pictures at the event so I'll leave you with one of a baby squirrel. (When all else fails, post a squirrel.)
